Can't Seem to Carry Us Through
Could tell a lie but my heart would know ...
This week's alphabetical list:
"Can't Seem to Get It Through My Head," Green
"Candy," Iggy Pop & Kate Pierson
"Candy," Morphine
"Candy's Room," Bruce Springsteen
"Cannonball," The Breeders
"Capistrano Beach," Terry Scott Taylor
"Car Wheels on a Gravel Road," Lucinda Williams
"Caravan," Van Morrison
"Caravan of Love," The HouseMartins
"Carry Us Through," Sarah Masen

My top ten nominees to fill in the gaps:
1. "Can't Stand Losing You," The Police
2. "Candido & America," Eddie From Ohio
3. "Candy Apple," The Miss Alans
4. "Canon In D (Pachelbel's Canon)," Orpheus Chamber Orchestra
5. "Canyonero Advertising Jingle," The Simpsons
6. "Capriccio #24," Ilan Ashkenazi
7. "Careful With That Axe, Eugene," Pink Floyd
8. "Carlita's Revenge," Black 47
9. "Carmelita," Warren Zevon
10. "Caroline," Concrete Blonde
A particular endorsement for "Candido & America," which is easily the best song ever inspired by The Tortilla Curtain. EFO has a literary bent; their Into The Wild-inspired "Sahara" is also first-rate.

What do you recommend by the band "Green"? I've played a couple of their songs at my radio station and they sounded very generic. But I don't want to give up on a band with such an all-encompassing name.

I'm currently on a classic disco kick so I'll recommend Car Wash by Rose Royce. Not one of my favs but it fits the range.

How can several such lists come up and not a one of them contain Gensis most underrated gem Can-Utility and the Coastliners? It's a sad state of affairs, I tell you.
