"Not A Minute Too Soon," Meg Hentges
"Not Enough," Our Lady Peace
"Not Everyone," Pat McCurdy
"Not Fade Away," The Grateful Dead
"Not Forever," Tsunami Bomb
"Not If You Were The Last Dandy On Earth," Brian Jonestown Massacre

"Not Where It's At," Del Amitri
"Not Your Slave," Surfers
"Nothin'," Lenahan
"Nothin' At All," Heart
"Nothing Can Keep Me From You," Eric Johnson
"Nothing Frequency," Autopilot Off
"Nothing Is Easy," Jethro Tull
"Nothing That's New," Chumbawamba
"Nothing To Believe In," Cracker
"Nothing To Hold Me," Jesus Jones
"Nothing's Gonna Change My Clothes," They Might Be Giants
Plus, an honorary entry: "(Nothing But) Flowers," Talking Heads
Top honors go to the honorary; "(Nothing But) Flowers" may not be Talking Heads' best-known song, nor was it actually that well received at the time, but it's aged very well. And it does a more optimistic, yet far better written, post-apocalyptic scenario that La Haye and Jenkins.
Once there were parking lots
Now it's a peaceful oasis
This was a Pizza Hut
Now it's all covered with daisies
I miss the honky-tonks, Dairy Queens and 7-11s
And as things fell apart, nobody paid much attention
Second place: Pat McCurdy's "Not Everyone."
Not everyone in Tibet really has the answer
Not everyone in France is an amoral can-can dancer
Not everyone in Dallas wears a big ten gallon hat
Not everyone you love is going to leave you just like that
Lenahan's compelling fusion of traditional Irish music with the blues comes in third. Meg Hentges and Brian Jonestown Massacre are well recommended acts, but these songs aren't the best introduction to their respective genres, and the Grateful Dead, Tsunami Bomb, Gin Blossoms, Eric Johnson and They Might Be Giants songs are recommended for people who like that sort of thing -- but, with the possible partial exception of TMBG, these are not musicians I would normally associate with Fred's taste, as revealed in FNSRTs.

Again I find myself with songs not on other lists and a whole heap of songs (a much much longer list I hasten to add) that I should have but don't. The surprises for me this week were Wilco and Ned Sublette. My list also shows a slight British slant...
The Streets - Not Addicted
Bernard Butler - Not Alone
Faithless - Not Enuff Love
Ned Sublette - Not Fade Away
Mary J. Blige - Not Lookin'
Paul Rishell & Annie Raines - Nothin' But The Devil
Catatonia - Nothing Hurts
Stereophonics - Nothing Precious At All
Wilco - Nothing'severgonnastandinmyway (Again)
