"Rain," Wally Badarou
"Rain King," Counting Crows

"Radiation Vibe", Fountains of Wayne
"Radio Clash," The Clash - this is a classic
"Radio Cure," Wilco
"Radio Friendly Unit Shifter," Nirvana
"Radio Song," REM
"Radios in Motion," XTC - very good early XTC when they were still a punky new wave band

"Rael 2," The Who
"Raglan Road," Van Morrison
"Rain," The Beatles - obvious classic
"Rain Dogs," Tom Waits
"Rain Fall Down," The Rolling Stones - I like the new Stones album, sue me, although I admit this song is not one of the better ones and gets kind of tiresome
"Rain King," Sonic Youth
"Rain Street," The Pogues
"Rainy Day Women #12 & 35", Bob Dylan
"Rainy Day, Dream Away," Jimi Hendrix
"Rainy Night in Soho," The Pogues
"Ralph's New Blues," Eric Dolphy

"Radio Song," REM
"Rage In The Cage," J. Geils Band

"Rape Me," Nirvana
"Rapper's Delight," Sugar Hill Gang
"Rappers, Rappers, Rappers 12 4 10," Aceyalone
"Rappin' Ronnie Reagan," The Simpsons
"Rapture," Blondie
As a Hoosier, I have to worship "Rain On The Scarecrow." "Rain In The Summertime" and "Rainbow Blues" are both excellent, as are the Dixie Chicks' cover of "Rainbow Connection" and Tom Waits' contribution to a benefit album for The West Memphis Three. The Beatles, Dylan, REM, Wilco, Nirvana and Golden Earring tracks are well-known classics. "Rain Song" is interesting but ultimately a bit of a disappointment, while the Boogie Knights' Wagnerian filking of "Waterloo" is hilarious for people who like that sort of thing.
As for ska, I have me my share, but tend not to recommend it to Fred since it doesn't seem like his thing. Otherwise, I'd recommend, among many others, both "Ranking Full Stop" and the Urge's version of "This Is Radio Clash" (which I have under "T," but still).
