Two cuts of "This Land Is Your Land", one by Pete Seeger and Arlo Guthrie, and one of which seems to be the collective effort of Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Joni Mitchell, Peter, Paul, and Mary, and possibly some others I can't identify.
"This Side of the Blue", Joanna Newsom

wow, that is so incredibly indicative of my musical tendencies... oh, and i'm back, in case anybody missed me. two weeks of family, and by and large a lack of wireless internet and sufficient boredom, in South Louisiana.

This Felony - the parent teacher association
This Is Shangrila - Mother Love Bone

"This Wheel's on Fire", Bob Dylan & the Band
"This Is Not a Love Song", PIL

"This Land is Your Land" - Bob Dylan
"This Hard Land" - Bruce Springsteen
"This Old House" - Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young
"This Year's Kisses" - Nina Simone

Huh, bet I'm the only person here that has Nina Simone on their player...

Oh, I've also got "This Bird Has Flown" but it probably doesn't count. You may know it by it's alternate title.

As always, everything that doesn't duplicate Fred's list, and recommendations that I hope are appropriately oriented toward Fred:

"(This Song's Just) Six Words Long," Weird Al Yankovic
"This Ain't The Summer Of Love," Blue Oyster Cult
"This And That," Michael Penn
"This Boy," The Beatles
"This Fire," Franz Ferdinand
"This Hard Land," Bruce Springsteen And The E Street Band
"This Is How We Bite The Dust," Q-Unit (Queen/50 cent mashup)
"This Is Love," P.J. Harvey
"This Is My Life Without You," Pat McCurdy
"This Is Not America," David Bowie and the Pat Metheny Group
"This Is Radio Clash," The Clash
"This Is Radio Clash," The Urge
"This Is The Life," Weird Al Yankovic
"This Is Your Life," Yipes!
"This Island Earth," Glass Tiger
"This Kind Of Love," Meg Hentges
"This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody)," Talking Heads
"This Piece Of Poetry Is Meant To Do Harm," The Ark
"This Sadness Alone," Reach The Sky
"This Time," Los Lobos
"This Time," The Verve
"This Time Next Year," Pat McCurdy
"This Town Is Dying," Pat McCurdy And The Confidentials
"This Town Is Wrong," The Nields
"This Train That I Ride," Snakefarm
"This Will Be My Year," Pat McCurdy

Wow. Just... wow. Any playlist where over a dozen songs would be recommended before getting around to "This Must Be The Place" is a deep list indeed. I'm going to give pride of place to "This And That," edging out "This Kind Of Love" and "This Town Is Dying" (both of which you may need to be a Midwesterner to fully appreciate), with "This Train That I Ride," "This Time Next Year," both versions of "This Is Radio Clash," "This Is My Life Without You" and "This Hard Land" also jockeying for position. My sense is that Fred wouldn't necessarily go for "This Fire," "This Ain't The Summer Of Love," "This Town Is Wrong," or "This Piece Of Poetry Is Meant To Do Harm," but for the genre and style they represent, they're excellent.

This is what it means - Hybrid
This room - The Notwist
This place is a prison - The Postal Service

Can't believe I forgot these two...

"This Business Is Killing Me", the Ramones
"This Jesus Must Die", from Jesus Christ Superstar

"This Business of Love," Wall of Voodoo
"This Charming Man, The Smiths
"This Cruel Life of Mine," The Skels
"This Girl's Got Nothing," Manic Street Preachers
"This Hollywood Life," Suede
"This House is Condemned," Pulp
"This Is a Low," Blur
"This Is Hardcore," Pulp
"This Is How We Do Things in the Country," Slim Cessna's Auto Club
"This Is Not My Crime," Gene
"This Is Radio Clash," The Clash
"This Is the Night," The The
"This Is the One," The Stone Roses
"This Is Yesterday," Manic Street Preachers
"This Little Box," trash80
"This Nelson Rockefeller," McCarthy
"This One's from the Heart," Tom Waits
"This Place Is Haunted," DeVotchKa
"This Time," Suede
"This Time," The Verve
"This Town...," Elvis Costello
"This Way Out," Wall of Voodoo
"This Will Be Our Year," The Zombies
"This World Needs a Father," Suede
"This Year's Girl," Elvis Costello

I'm actually sort of dumbfounded that I'm the first person to list "This Year's Girl." If I had to recommend one song from this list, it would have to be "This Is How We Do Things in the Country," an intense bluegrass murder ballad. Actually, I'd recommend all of Slim Cessna's stuff. And their live show is electrifying.
