elvis costello seems to enjoy using diminutive adjectives in the titles of his songs 'two little hitlers', 'little triggers', 'tiny steps' ... and those are just from the two albums to which i listen.

How about that hit song of 1812, Crimea River, starring Joe Cocker and featuring Leon Russell?

Oh man, that Steve Taylor video takes me back...

I remember a time when I thought the coolest thing in the world would be to have that suit he was wearing for my own. Oy vey.

Welsh = very cool!

*Sigh*... Siouxsie...

Between her and Joan Jett, they pretty much cemented my teenage love for women with black hair and heavy eye makeup.

I'm just curious because I see these kind of music/music video roundups here occasionally, but there's no comment other than the song titles and artists. I was just wondering if these mean something in particular, or if it's just a list of a few songs/videos that Fred wants to share?

Gives us something to watch/listen to while we're waiting for Left Behind Friday to post. ;-)

The Friday music roundup is like football season in Chicago. After a long, divisive summer of Sox v. Cubs, everyone can come together and agree on one thing: Da Bears.

Around here we all come for the LB, but stay for the random arguments about homosexuality, abortion, politics and whatever else happens to come to mind. But we all join together on Fridays for random music and Left Behind and remember why we're here, united in one goal.

Until we start arguing about Left Behind.

Seconded-- Welsh = awesome!

Woo hoo! We finally have a song in common, Fred! I *love* "Istanbul (Not Constantinople)."

What does "dydd Gwener" mean?

"dydd Gwener" is Friday. "Gwener" comes from Latin "Venus, Veneris."

Until we start arguing about Left Behind.

We put the "fun" back into "dysfunctional".

That's funny, I thought dydd Gwener meant double post.

The Friday music roundup is just ten random songs in a row from the blogger's iPod. It's a blog staple, not unique to slacktivist.

Diolch yn fawr iawn!
