Than waiting to win the lottery ...

"First Lady Of Delaware," The Seymores
"First Your Money (Then Your Clothes)," Jude Cole
"Fistful Of Steel," Rage Against The Machine
"Five," Joan Jett & The Blackhearts
"Five Lessons," Pat McCurdy
"Five To One," The Doors
"Five Years," Seu Jorge
"Fixing A Hole," The Beatles
"Flame," Sebadoh
"Flamethrower," J. Geils Band

"Flaming Telepaths," Blue Oyster Cult
"Flash," Queen
"Flash Runner," Grandmaster Flash Versus Vangelis

My personal favorite is "Five To One," but if Fred doesn't have any Doors songs I'm going to assume that's a conscious decision on his part. Instead, I might recommend "Flats And Jobs" or "First It Giveth," or maybe "Five" (because, hey, who doesn't love Joan Jett) or "First Lady of Delaware" (because, hey, Delaware). The two Grandmaster Flash mashups are pretty entertaining as well.

Rosina wins the thread.
All I have is:
Flamethrower - The J. Geils Band

All I have that hasn't been mentioned is "Flight of the Cosmic Hippo", by Bela Fleck and the Flecktones.

95 tracks for this one, 84 that haven't been mentioned. (About which - "Fix me Now" is great, and "Five Years" isn't the best song on the Seu Jorge album, but it's a great album.) The highlights:
"First Aid," Skinny Puppy
"The First Cutting," Michael Hedges
"First Love," Wally Pleasant
"First We Take Manhattan," Leonard Cohen
"Fish Licence," Monty Python
"The Fish That Played the Ponies," King Missile
"Five Days," Tricky

I hear "Five O'Clock World" and I picture the opening credits to the Drew Carey Show. :)
Oh, and thanks, wanderingoutlaw. Now I'll be singing "Fish Heads" all day.

"Fisherman's Wife" -- Califone
Essential. Califone is essentially the underappreciated Red Red Meat reincarnated. Both bands well worth checking out.

Oof, quite a few this time.
"Fish to Fry", The Ditty Bops (who are wicked awesome, by the way)
"Fixing a Hole", The Beatles
"Flamenco Sketches", Miles Davis (plus an alternate take of same)
"Fleshdunce", Dead Kennedys (one of their more mediocre songs, sadly)
"Flight of the Passing Fancy", Squirrel Nut Zippers (ah, for the late-90s neo-swing revival)
"flip", Samurai Champloo soundtrack

I gots a few-o-dems this time around:
"Fish and Get Fat," Gaelic Storm, How Are We Getting Home?
"Fish Street," Mirrormask soundtrack
"Five Short Minutes," Jim Croce, I Got A Name
"The Flat Horizon," Wang Chung, Mosaic
"Flesh, Breath & Bone," Angie Aparo, Out of the Everywhere
Rosina gets my "We're Not Worthy" kow-towing as well. Wish I had a snappy comeback.
Seeing the Jim Croce song in my Windows Media Player song list reminds me that I've already ripped it to MP3. I knew I'd recorded the tape onto digital via the PlusDeck drive, but I hadn't realized I'd ever separated out the tracks. This means that my work last night ripping the vinyl to mp3 (via the Ion USB Turntable! ThinkGeek R0XX0RS!!!1!!1!) was somewhat redundant. Only, vinyl-to-digital involves less sound degredation than vinyl-to-cassette-to-digital-20-years-later, so it's just as well.
Other LPs recorded into digital last night: Neil Diamond's The Jazz Singer, Jethro Tull's Aqualung, and Genesis's Invisible Touch. No, I will not be garage sale-ing my vinyl collection after ripping them all. I'm keeping them. You can't have them. They're mine.

Just highlights this week:
"First Orgasm", Dresden Dolls -- one of my favorite newish bands
"First We Take Manhattan", recordings by Leonard Cohen, Jennifer Warnes and REM -- how can anyone not have LC's _I'm Your Man_?
"Five Feet High and Rising", Johnny Cash
"Flamingo Baby", Violent Femmes -- just mentioning it as part of my ongoing campaign to get Fred to fill this hole
"Flatnose, the Tree-Climbing Dog", Austin Lounge Lizards

All I can add is "First and Second Law of Thermodynamics" by Flanders & Swann. The genre is listed as "unclassifiable", which is spot on.

But they're so cool!

Mad propz to borealys for having the guts to admit to Flashdance. Tickles me in my 80s bone, that does.

Oh!
"First You Have To Say You Love Me" - Neil Diamond
...it's no good unless you do
'cause I need to hear you love me
baby just like you
Just being a Neil Diamond fan is not a guilty secret. Being overly familiar with the album Heartlight, however (meaning other than having heard the title track on the radio while E.T. was still in theaters), or in fact with anything later than 1981, is not something I readily admit to.

"First Night Back in London" - The Clash - maybe the single worst Clash song prior to Cut the Crap. For completists only.
"First of the Last Calls" - Husker Du - From the Metal Circus EP, this really should need no introduction. If you don't have this song I can't help you.
"First Week/Last Week...Carefree" - Talking Heads - I'd forgotten about this one, pretty good.
"First Year Blues" - Hank Williams
"Firth of Fifth" - Genesis. I'm surprised given all the geeky Rush love last week that this prog rock classic hasn't popped up yet.
"Fisherman's Blues" - Waterboys
"Five Years" - David Bowie version and Seu Jorge Version
"Flashlight" - Parliament
"Flexible Flyer" - Husker Du
"Flight 505" - Rolling Stones - from Aftermath, a good bluesy song from before the Stones "sold out" in '68.
"Flight of Icarus" - Iron Maiden. Honestly, this is a crappy song. I try to give metal some respect, and I can get into Sabbath, Metallica and some Judas Priest in the right mood. But this is just stupid. Not sure why I haven't deleted it, except for it's supposed "classic" status.
"Flitcraft" - The Mekons
"Flip Your Wig" - Husker Du - another briliant Husker entry.
"Float On" - Modest Mouse - Apparently I do have some 21st century music.
