Insane - Instruction
Tom likes people, and people like Tom ...
"Insane," Texas
"Inside," Moby
"Inside Out," The Mighty Lemon Drops
"Inside Out (12" dance mix)," The Mighty Lemon Drops
"Inside Out Upside Down," Charlie Peacock
"Insistor," Tapes 'n Tapes
"Inspiration," Lone Justice
"Instant Karma," John Lennon
"Institutionalized," Suicidal Tendencies
"Instruction Through Film," Daniel Amos
I had that Mighty Lemon Drops 12" on vinyl, so I hadn't heard it for years until I got the USB turntable for Christmas. Actually, that's not quite true -- I'd heard it one other time.

"Insecurities" -- The Gits
"Insight" -- Depeche Mode
My Ins___ category is pretty sparse, but at the Int__s I've got a lot of songs called "Interlude" from various compilations.

Inside - Moby
Insomnia - Megadeth
The Inspector Gadget Theme song
just outside the range:
Intergalactic Centerfold - RIAA (no, not that RIAA).

"Insensitive" - Jann Arden
"Insensitive" - Leann Rimes
"Inside Out" - Eve 6
Gosh, my ins-es are boring. But I have lots of interesting stuff at inn- and int- on either side. :-/

Inside Every Girl, Julie Brown
Inside of Me, Madonna

Insane, Insane Again - The J. Geils Band
Short list. Nearby: Tom Lehrer's Irish Ballad

Short range today! I have nothing.
Posted by: cjmr | Jun 20, 2008 at 07:12 AM
"Insomnia" - Faithless
"Insomnia" - Feeder
I agree with the others - there are a lot more interesting int-s than ins-s.
Posted by: SchrodingersDuck | Jun 20, 2008 at 07:19 AM
Well, "int" is the first three letters of "interesting", so I suppose that makes sense.

Insect Eyes - Devendra Banhart
Inside Out - Feist
Inside Me - Jesus & Mary Chain
Instant Party (Circles) - The Who
Posted by: Ryan | Jun 20, 2008 at 07:53 AM
I have nothing in range, so I'm expanding my search to "In*". Because I feel like it.
"Industrial Revolution (Overture & Pts. 1-3)", Jean-Michel Jarre
"Information High", Yoko Kanno (as Sharon Apple)
"Inner Universe", Yoko Kanno
"Inspector Gadget Theme (Techno Remix)", unknown
"Interim Before Redline", Kieran Yanner
"Interlude", dot/Hack//SIGN soundtrack
"Invasion of the Gabber Robots", The Laziest Men on Mars
"Invisible Sun", The Police
"Invasion of the Gabber Robots" is better known to the Internet as the "All Your Base Are Belong To Us" song. Looks like this search came up heavily geek-weighted.

Insensitive - Jann Arden
Inside - Eloi Brunelle
Inside Out - Eve 6
Instant Pleasure - Rufus Wainwright
Instigator - Jakalope

"Insane In The Membrane," Cypress Hill
"Insane, Insane Again," The J. Geils Band
"Insect Collector," Shonen Knife
"Insecuriosity," Andrew Dorff
"Inside," Jimmie's Chicken Shack
"Inside Game," Royal Trux
"Inspiring Dub," Tommy McCook & The Aggrovators
Most recommended: "Insecuriosity," which is a surprisingly good song for winning such a small pool.

"Insects," and "Insanity," both by Oingo Boingo.
Posted by: yagowe | Jun 20, 2008 at 11:15 AM
"Insert: Seeräuber-Jenny", performed by Milva
"Inside Outside", by Omega
"Instant Music", by the pillows
"Instead-Of-Song", performed by Martin Wolfson
"Instinct (本能)", by Shiina Ringo
"Instru-matics", by Ken Butler
"Instrumental Suits", by the High Llamas
Disproportionate number of English translations here -- both Omega's "Életfogytig rock and roll" and the Dreigroschenoper's "Anstatt-daß-Song".

"Inside Job", Pearl Jam
"Insignificance", Pearl Jam
"Instead Of Running", Unified Theory

I feel better knowing I'm not the only one with the Inspector Gadget theme song on my hard drive. :)
Other than that, I only have two songs to contribute:
Janis Ian -- Insanity Comes Quietly to the Structured Mind
Peter, Paul, and Mary -- Inside

inside & out - feist

I'm not much on music, but "Insane-Instruction" makes a great thread title.

"Instant Hit" - The Slits
"Instant Karma! (We All Shine On)" - John Lennon
"Institutionalized" - Suicidal Tendencies
Not much in that range.

"In Sarah, Mencken, Christ, and Beethoven There Were Women and Men" - Tortoise
"Inside and Out" - Feist
"Inside Elevation" - Pan*American
"Inside Me" - The Jesus and Mary Chain
"Inside Story" - Grace Jones
"Inside Your Mind" - DMX Krew
"In Spite of Me" - Morphine
"Instant Gods out of the Box" - Arovane

Hooray to Ryan and Lemur for the Feist and J&MC. I've been alternating between Ron Sexsmith's "Secret Heart" and Feist's cover all day.
You came really close to "Interspecies Love" by Kevin Blechdom. :)

I feel better knowing I'm not the only one with the Inspector Gadget theme song on my hard drive.
I think everyone would feel better if they at least one piece of ripped off Grieg somewhere in their music collection.

It's kinda disconcerting how many hits I have for such a narrow range, but not half as disconcerting as how bad some of them are:
"Insane in the Brain" - Richard Cheese (yeah, so it's a cover; his version is better)
"Insanity" - Seize
"Insanity Lurks Nearby" - Front Line Assembly
"Insect" - Switchblade Symphony
"Insects" - Oingo Boingo
"Insecure Me" - Soft Cell
"Insensatez" - Antonio Carlos Jobim (instrumental version from the Lost Highways soundtrack)
"Inside" - Collide
"Inside" - In Strict Confidence
"Inside" - Pride and Fall
"Inside of Me" - Benny Benassi
"Inside of Me" - Culture Kultür
"Inside of You, In Spite of You" - ThouShaltNot
"Inside Out" - Die Krupps
"Inside Out" - Front Line Assembly
"Inside Out" - God Module
"Inside the Line" - Warsaw
"Inside You" - Stabbing Westward
"Inside Your World" - Neuroactive
"Insight" - Angels and Agony
"Insight" - Dead Kennedys
"Insight" - Joy Division
"Insistence on Solid Floors, The" - ThouShaltNot
"Insolence" - Front Line Assembly
"Insomnia" - The Crüxshadows
"Installation Number One" - Einstürzende Neubauten
"Instead of an Angle" - Project Pitchfork
I think my goth is showing; I'd best go cry myself to sleep.

In fact, I have "Hall of the Mountain King" in several iterations on my hard drive. NurseCat likes "Dream A Dream", the Captain Jack dance version, while I'm partial to the Electric Light Orchestra's take on the tune. But none of them fit the "In*" delimiter :)

The result of scrolling through my entire Media Player library:
