"Painting by Numbers," James McMurtry
"Pair of Brown Eyes," Peter Case
"Pair of Brown Eyes," The Pogues

Comments

Painters - Jewel
Palestine Texas - T-Bone Burnett
Palmyra Schottische - The New American Brass Band

also possibly just out of range:
Paint It, Black - The Rolling Stones

As usual, I have absolutely nothing in range. I have one song that's close:

Paint - Gooselove and Antara

"Painted Chariot," The Incredible String Band
"Painted Pictures (Art)," Madlib
"Painting Box," The Incredible String Band

Painted Desert - Pat Benatar

Short list today:

"Painter In Your Pocket," Destroyer
"Pallin' With Al," Squirrel Nut Zippers
"Palm Of Your Hand," Cake
"Panama," Van Halen
"Pancreas," Weird Al Yankovic
"Panic In Detroit," David Bowie

Most recommended: "Panic In Detroit." The Destroyer track is a disappointment, but the rest of the songs are fine if you like the artists.

Oops, looks like I forgot how to alphabetize. My bad.

If we're going to be serious about this, the Cake track is the best of the three that actually do fall within this range.

Zip. Zero. Nada. How does Fred manage to pick ranges that are completely empty on my 2,000 song iPod only on the days I can, actually, comment? I'm listening to one of the dullest continuing education presentations in the history of the world; I need something to keep me awake, people. Let's hope LB Friday is especially good.

OT: McCain has selected Alaska governor Sarah Palin as his running mate.

"Paladar" -- Silvio Rodríguez
"Palestine" -- David Rovics

"Paint", by Galactic
"Painters Paint", by the High Llamas
"Palm Desert", by Van Dyke Parks

Short list today.

Painted Chariot - The Incredible String Band (cool! Someone else has this too!)
Painter Man - The Creation
Painting Box - The Incredible String Band (more twee Scots hippie goodness)
A Pair Of Brown Eyes - The Pogues
Pale Blue Eyes - The Velvet Underground
Palmcorder Yajna - The Mountain Goats

OT: McCain has selected Alaska governor Sarah Palin as his running mate.

Well, she does fit into today's alphabetical scheme.

Dang, only two:

Painted Over - Calexico
Paisible - Yelo Molo

Only a few in range today (although I'm surprised "Palmcorder Yajna" never made it onto my hard drive...)

"Painter in Your Pocket" - Destroyer
"Painting And Kissing" - Hefner
"Paisley Darts" - Ghostface Killah
"Pale Blue Eyes" - The Velvet Underground
"Pale Horse Sailor" - June of 44
"Palo Alto" - Radiohead

They're all good, but the Hefner might be my favourite.

Painter Song - Norah Jones
País Tropical - Jorge Ben
Paisagem da Janela - Milton Nascimento
Pale Blue Eyes - Marisa Monte

I'm a bit late, but you can't forget Neil Young - "The Painter".
